Springing into (in)action

Ahh Spring!
Grass turns green

The blooming buds bloom
My eyes water,my nose tingles
Ahh Allergies!

Ahh Spring!
The earth awakens
The breeze in my hair
The darned birds shriek
Ahh Sounds!

Ahh Spring!
Bicycle rides
Brighter skies
Farmers' markets visits
Ahh Action!

Ahh Spring!
The Academy Awards
The loss of an hour
The forced optimism
Ahh Repentance for another season past!

Ahh Spring!
Billowing skirts
Shirtless men
Enthusiastic exercisers
Ahh The Elusive Spring in My Step!

I'm a little irritated as is evident. Apologies galore...(No relation to any James Bond girls!)
I feel like rebelling against the enthusiasm, the hope, the new spurts of life, the reminder that another season's come and gone (almost) and in a lot of ways, I'm the same.
Ahh Spring :(

In your rebellion, you are showing action of a different kind. All a matter of redirecting that energy. Screw the activity-freaks. Spring's the time for lying back :-)

As Stephen says, it is the arrogant tilting of the earth that is causing all of this and change is for flip-floppers!!
(check the video that says STOP IT for detailed view of Stephen on Spring and change)

You guys all speak nothing but the truth, especially Stephen Colbert (that cracked me up! Thanks Kedar!)
Adele, Maru, yes indeed...time learning is never time wasted, especially if you're learning about yourself. Parth, I'm glad I can count on reassuring responses from you ;)

Take it easy! As usual -agree with Parth. Spring is all about lazying around (although I find an excuse all the time to be lying back)

I'm always torn about feeling thrilled about the changes of the new season and feeling terrible about the things that have not changed. A little of both, perhaps? :-)

Not spring here in India but the Holi's past and the summer is certainly here to stay. :-(
